So once the honey oak on the banister was on the agenda, everything else in the foyer was fair game too. You can see that ugly wood color on the before photo below.
This is that same vampire paint as in the upstairs hallways.
Some of the trim needed some love too.

The view to the powder room and the french doors to the office.
And the beauty of the afters. It's amazing what $30 and a bit of effort can get you. It just is so much cleaner, and fresher. And if anything the trim looks better!
Now to deal with that boob light.
I need to change out that wreath. I can be forgiven though, there was snow just last week.
Now we just need to take care of that kitchen. It is the last bastion of the vampire paint. It will be vanquished.
