So spraying all the downstairs hardware was just the beginning of the story.
Then we had to do hinges.
It took a little while - because of course things always do.
Here we have sprayed knobs but no hinges.
We decided to purchase the hinges, since there is so much action - and because the price wasn't exorbitant. Enough hinges for the entire downstairs ran us about $40 (THD of course!)
Changing out hinges is fairly simple, if sometimes maybe a touch frustrating. You pop out the old post, remove the door, then the old hinge pieces.
Replace with the new hardware, line up the door (this the sometimes-frustrating part) and pop the new post back in once the pieces align.
Taaadaaa! Such a nice change. Why did we wait so long?
